About Hypnocentric
The primary therapist at Hypnocentric is Lisa Wallace. Lisa is a qualified hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner and is a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) and the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (APHP).
Lisa trained with both the Central England College of Clinical Hypnosis and The Surrey Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy and works with clients dealing with a range of issues. These include stop smoking, weight management, confidence, phobias, habit control, stress and anxiety for both adults and children.
Additionally, Lisa specialises in working with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) sufferers. She has trained in a “Gut Directed” therapy with Michael Mahoney, Registrar of the UK Register of IBS Therapist and attended seminars held by Dr Peter Whorwell, Professor of Gastroenterology at Wythenshawe Hospital Manchester. Both Michael Mahoney and Dr Whorwell are recognised leaders in using hypnotherapy to reduce the symptoms of IBS.
Lisa practices hypnotherapy full-time from her office in Ashbourne, however home visits can be arranged for clients in the local area if required. In order meet the needs of her clients, Lisa has appointments available throughout the day and conducts evening sessions between 5:30pm and 8pm.
Prior to moving into hypnotherapy on a professional basis, Lisa worked in HR for a number of large PLC’s including Cable and Wireless, NTL and Egg, part of the Prudential group.
She became interested in the differences between conscious and subconscious behaviours as part of her role and went on to incorporate and utilise a number of different tools, such as psychometric profiling and NLP (Neurolinguistic programming) into coaching and training programs. In her own time Lisa began studying hypnotherapy and after a time left the corporate world to pursue hypnotherapy as a full-time career.
